DeVallon Bolles PhD
I was born at home on the living room sofa, so home has been special to me from birth.
I’ve lived at many addresses so far in life, but I’ve spent the past thirty years in the Boston area. I’ve lived in different kinds of homes, single-family, apartments, barracks & dormitories. I always remember that nice little one-room space made of used ammo cases full of sand, and sand bags full of concrete. I’ve lived or travelled on four continents. I’ve been to all 50 states, 49 of them at least twice
I served a year in Vietnam, as an Armored Cavalry NCO and was awarded some decorations, including a Bronze Star. Working in the Cavalry was like working in real estate: A constant process of solving the array of problems that arise daily. It gave new meaning for me to the old cry “The cavalry’s coming!”
At Northwestern University, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech. Later, after the Army, I worked in marketing in Los Angeles. I went to graduate school at the University of Wisconsin and earned an MA and a PhD studying American Military History.
After some time in the consulting business, I went into real estate sales. I love working with people, guiding them through the process, finding solutions to the problems that always arise. Again I hear that cry, “The cavalry’s coming!”
